The Cottagers are fresh from a morale-boosting 2-1 win against Newcastle United last week, and Marco Silva’s men had a full week to prepare against the Latics.

Wigan Athletic made it to the fourth round after beating Carlisle (2-0), Cambridge United (2-1), and Mansfield Town (2-0) in their wake. The Latics are the 16^th seed in the Championship table, and they’re fresh from a 1-1 draw against Lincoln City last time out.

Maloney will likely depend on Dale Taylor and Jonny Smith for production in the final third. Taylor, on loan from Nottingham Forest, has six league goals and seven assists. Pereira could be the key for Fulham in their attempt to unlock Wigan Athletic’s backline. The former Manchester United midfielder has two league goals and two assists and is one of the team’s best playmakers in the middle of the park.

Saturday marks the first-ever FA Cup tie between Wigan Athletic and Fulham. However, the Latics won their two previous cup games against the Cottagers in December 2002 and September 2003 (EFL Cup).
