NBA Playoffs: Thunder Gunning for a Grizzlies Sweep

The Thunder are one win away from becoming the first team to advance to the next round of the 2025 NBA playoffs after winning their first three games against the Grizzlies. These two teams will compete at the FedEx Forum tomorrow for Game 4, and the hosts are backed against the wall.

Meanwhile, the Cavaliers, Nuggets, and Rockets will visit the Heat, Clippers, and Warriors. The Cavaliers and Clippers also aim for their third win of their first-round best-of-seven series, while the Rockets and the Warriors are keen to go up 2-1.

That said, tomorrow could be a pivotal point for all eight teams, and SBOTOP basketball fans will continue to get their usual dose of NBA 2025 highlights. Learn more about the games by reading below for a preview of tomorrow’s busy schedule.

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Miami Heat

The Cavaliers have been dominating the Heat in the first two games of their first-round series, notching exactly 121 points in Games 1 and 2, and Miami couldn’t do much about it.

After a 121-100 win in Game 1, the Heat almost came back in Game 2 when they mounted a late rally in the final period. However, Donovan Mitchell took over in the clutch, scoring Cleveland’s next eight points to secure the 121-112 win last Wednesday.

Mitchell recorded 30 points, six rebounds, six assists, and seven three-pointers on 10-for-21 shooting from the field. Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, Max Strus, and De’Andre Hunter added 21, 20, 14, and 12 points.

There’s more good news for Cleveland, as Mobley won this year’s Defensive Player of the Year and Ty Jerome was one of the three finalists for the Sixth Man of the Year award.

Tyler Herro should play with a chip on his shoulder in Game 3, especially after Darius Garland’s postgame comments about the Miami Heat guard being the “weak link” on the defencive end. The one-time NBA All-Star has been the brightest spot in South Beach, averaging 28.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 5.4 assists on 48.6-per cent shooting from the field this series.

Betting tip – Cleveland Cavaliers Asian Handicap -6.50 @ 2.03

Oklahoma City @ Memphis Grizzlies

A Thunder sweep is not out of the question tomorrow, according to the NBA 2025 odds, because Ja Morant suffered a hip contusion after a hard fall on a dunk attempt in Game 3. And, given the severity of his injury, we would be surprised if he suits up for the Grizzlies.

Oklahoma City erased a 26-point halftime deficit after Morant left the game, securing a 114-108 win in Game 3. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander posted 31 points, four rebounds, and eight assists on 10-for-27 shooting from the field and a perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line. Jalen Williams, Chet Holmgren, Alex Caruso, and Isaiah Joe added 26, 24, 10, and 10 points.

Scotty Pippen Jr. led Memphis in the losing effort with 28 points, five rebounds, five assists, three steals, and six three-pointers. The Grizzlies need him to step up.

Betting tip – Oklahoma City Thunder Asian Handicap -15.50 @ 2.03

Denver Nuggets @ LA Clippers

After a 112-110 defeat in Game 1, the Clippers have gained the upper hand with two consecutive wins. LA blew out Denver last Thursday with a score of 117-83.

Kawhi Leonard led with 21 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists on 7-for-17 shooting from the field, and he received ample support from his teammates. James Harden, Norman Powell, Ivica Zubac, Nicolas Batum, and Derrick Jones Jr. added 20, 20, 19, 12, and 10 points.

Nikola Jokic put up another triple-double with 23 points, 13 rebounds, and 13 assists on 9-for-14 shooting from the field. Sadly, his Herculean efforts are far from enough.

Betting tip – LA Clippers Asian Handicap -6.00 @ 1.90

Houston Rockets @ Golden State Warriors

The Warriors flexed their collective experience with a 95-85 win in Game 1, but the Rockets punched back with a 109-94 win in Game 2. And what makes it worse for Golden State is they lost Jimmy Butler to a pelvic injury after a hard fall last Wednesday.

Jalen Green caught fire at the right time for Houston, registering 38 points, four rebounds, six assists, three steals, and eight three-pointers on 13-for-25 shooting from the field. Alperen Sengun, Dillon Brooks, Tari Eason, and Amen Thompson chipped in 17, 16, 14, and 11 points.

Stephen Curry had 20 points, five rebounds, nine assists, and four three-pointers on 6-for-15 shooting from the field in the losing effort. He’ll need to score more if Jimmy Butler sits out tomorrow.

Betting tip – Golden State Warriors Asian Handicap -2.50 @ 1.86
